Editor’s Note: Audience Participation Please

Did you know that you were one of approximately 6,000 people who read this magazine four times a year? SIX THOUSAND. And did you know that all these readers come from over fifty different countries, across six continents? No pressure, authors and editors, right? (We don’t have any readers in Antarctica yet, in case you were wondering.)

Many people equals many opinions and ideas, and we’d love to hear them! To show that we are serious when we say we care about what’s on your mind, we have included, for the first time in almost three years, a Letters to the Editor section in this issue. We hope that this will become a permanent fixture in UX, and that your feedback will help us shape this publication.

So, do you have an idea for an issue theme? Write to us. Would you like to comment on an article? Write to us. Is your need to compliment us on a job well done too pressing? Most definitely write to us! And, as always, let us know if you’d like to contribute as an article author or join our editorial team.

Speaking of articles, this issue has a nice balance of research- and design-related topics, ranging from note-taking, making sense of user feedback, and report writing to designing for entertainment and persuasion. Two of the articles are reflected in the cartoon below–can you guess which two?

Now go read… and discuss!
