Janine PurcellJanine Purcell works as the Cognitive Engineer for the Veterans Health Administration’s (VHA) Bar Code Resource Office. Her VA career started at the VA National Center for Patient Safety where she contributed to usability and patient safety initiatives involving software and product design. Janine has worked for more than twenty years in commercial and research settings, principally in the field of human-computer interaction. She holds a B.A. in Linguistics from the University of California at Berkeley and a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research with a concentration in Cognitive Human Factors from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
